I have read the topick on the other forum about the road and track's guide.
And i see some cool pictures of the Svx and Xt whit some mods on it.

Is this just make for the Proto type?

Re: ''Wild body kit''

Wish I had those front fenders and side sills.

I like how those, and the Delta-speed (IIRC the name...) with the lower edge match the rear bumper cover... I wish there were a nice front bumper cover that had a slightly more aggressive chin spoiler to match.

The prototype front bumper isn't quite it, either, though.

My idea of a wild body-kit would be just what I described above, plus a bit of a different front bumper.

I would modify the front fenders, with a box-flare like the rear fenders, more like the prototype, but perhaps even a bit sharper than that, even... and without the OE side markers. Think of the SVX hood and headlights, meeting 944 Turbo/S2 style front fenders, and variation mix of SVX and 944 front bumper covers.

I think the 944 Turbo/S2 style front turn signals would look cool on the SVXs' front bumper, integrated into the horizontal slots in the SVX's bumper, on either side of the license plate... with clear smoke tinted lenses, with amber lighting behind them (LEDs preferably...) directly under the headlights...

Then 944 Turbo fog/driving lights under the bumper beam, in the flat spaces on either side of the lower intake duct... and modified to be corner beams outboard, and fog-beams inboard, and auxiliary high-beam driving lights in the place of the SVX-headlight fogs...

I think that would be enough forward lighting... 8 forward, and 2 forward/lateral lamps on the front...

BTW, original 80s concepts weren't too far off of that..

Re: ''Wild body kit''

There was never any kit. The only wide body SVXii that ever existed were the pre-production models, and maybe a couple of the racers that have fender flares.

Re: ''Wild body kit''

Im thinking of going wide body eventually. Either like the prototype above or maybe something a bit more extreme for my hobby track car project.

Re: ''Wild body kit''

Yeah, that was a 1986 concept development... and probably intended to more directly succeed the XT wedge car, by offering a turbo flat 4 option.

As development progressed, and the car got bigger, and became H6/Automatic only, with no turbo, and became more of a Grand Touring coupe, it likely became a marketing issue to give it a new name to further differentiate it, and take it up-market from the XT.
