Re: Michael Jackson: Dead at 50

I have found memories of sitting in Art class in the 5th grade listening to Thriller. My older brother bought "Off the Wall" vinyl when I was like 10. Great album, as was Thriller.

Whether you liked him or not, in my mind he made some good music. Always, sad to see someone die so young.

Re: Michael Jackson: Dead at 50

I agree, I feel for his family especially the kids ( I hope they're not as screwed up as he was,) and that he was very talented. He is an icon that will be remembered forever worldwide. Unfortunately he liked the little boys so much he slept with them in his bed and petted them. That much he said himself in an interview. For those who complain about the jokes; lighten up it's not like he was your sister or something.
Here's a joke to help you understand;
MacGregor was drowning his sorrows at the pub and the bartender asked him what had gotten him so down.
MacGregor: "You build 20 barns, beautiful barns with your own hands, barns that will last longer than any barn. But do they call you MacGregor the barn builder? Nah! "You build hundreds of miles of fence, the best fence there is, and do they call you MacGregor the fence builder? Nah."
"But you Flog (sic) one sheep!!!"

The world is a better place without insane child molesters. Don't you agree?

Really, who killed the acusing kid's parents? They are the ones who should've been held accountable as much as the aledged acts MJ did. Would you let your kids go to a sleep over at any grown man's house let alone one as weird as MJ was? Obviously he is NOT GUILTY at least legally that is as the state did not present a jury with enough evidence that a reasonably prudent person could overcome a presumption of in.

As for civil action, out of court settlements happen all the time and are rarely based on guilt or in. but rather based on how much a lawyer will take to defend something that is simply a crap shoot.

You did avoid the question almost entirely that was asked of you.

Not that I'm siding with MJ here, but don't we employ the phrase,

"...Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law..."

as part of the Miranda rights required to be spoken during arrests?

Its a shame to watch someone so talented become a potential predator and the butt end of ridicule around the globe. Not saying that it wasn't self-inflicted; but I will say it was a troubled downfall for him.

I think hes better off at peace now.

Ben, I definitely agree with you here. I think the money-hungry parents are the biggest problem. Who in their right mind would send their kids to sleep with a grown man?

Honestly, I highly doubt that Michael did anything they claimed he did. Have you read any of the transcripts or summaries from the court case?

When was the last time you sent your kids to a sleep over with a grown man? They are the ones who should have gone to jail!

Hell no I would not let my kids go to sleepovers at an adults house. I don't have kids and don't even like kids, but yes I agree with you the parents surely used very poor judgment. Perhaps they were just money hungry

Ah, someone who understands my viewpoint. I know I'm not part of the generation who really grew up on his music or anything, but it's still shameful how it all happened.

Re: Michael Jackson: Dead at 50

I'm always impressed by the lack of familiarity with the accused and the distance from the physical investigation which still allow judgments to be passed.
