I am interested, but not a present time...

But if I am gonna upgrade I will do 6 pot fronts for sure.

Re: Wilwood BBK kit coming soon

Could you get me a price for the Wilwood 4pots with 2-piece rotors?

Also, what size rotor will these calipers use?

Thanks!

The best kit is which ever one fits your needs best.

Out of the 4pots, the CTS-V calipers are probably gonna stop the car faster (being as they are made with a heavy car in mind).

The 6pots will have the most braking force, but probably won't fit under a 17" wheel, so there goes any value for me.

The Willwood 4pots will probably be over-kill for most people, but if you are planning on tracking the car alot they will be just fine.

4pot/2pot is gonna be more than enough braking for most cars.

Re: Wilwood BBK kit coming soon

One of the big questions I think is the cost of repairs afterwards.

There is 1 member that has a BBK on his car right now. He needed to get new rotors, and the cost was over a thousand for rotors alone. Can we get some ideas on that?

Well you already know that the DBA 4000 rotors raise the price of the kit by $200, so figure replacements for those rotors are $200. The normal rotors that come with the kit should be less than that.

No one is running these yet on any track days, but they are all track proven set-ups....

Actually the margin is 200.

I priced brakes for my Legacy, and the DBA rotors are about that much MORE expensive.

I spent about 460 or a bit more on all 4 wheels worth of Hawk HPS pads, and some generic replacement rotors, and those were on sale. Retail would have been over 500, and DBA on sale would have been over 600. The HPS pads were just over 120 per axle, the discs made up the rest of that.

The non DBA-rotors cost something. The DBA rotors cost 200 MORE, or 50$ per disc more.

But not 1000$ a disc by any stretch. Those are probably either a rare size, or ceramics. PCCB type discs are probably even more, though.

Do all of the CTS-V brembos have the V- logo on them, or some years have the Brembo text? I suppose it could just be 'the V in SVX...'

But Brembos would be begging for rear brembo 2-pistons, and a brembo master, and stainless flex-lines.

Does anybody know if the 22B-STI/late WRX Subaru-logo 4/2 piston setup will fit the SVX somehow? Just out of curiousity...

I am pretty sure they all have the "V" and stainless lines are included in these prices...

Re: Wilwood BBK kit coming soon

Is it okay to have the 4 piston Brembo caliper off a Cadillac CTS-V brakes up front and stock SVX brakes in the rear? Are there ANY aftermarket rear brakes available for the SVX? Also what is the difference with the more pricey DBA 4000 Series rotors? Thanks!

Your brake bias would be within 5% of what is stock... How that is calculated I do not know. I am simply relaying what the manufacturer said. Look on the first page for all the price break-downs...
