My brother's new car.

My brother's Dodge Challenger Hemi V8 6-Speed came in on Friday and I got to see it and drive it today. Freakin' Sweet! Anyhow here is his thread with his first impressions and pics (from the Challenger webboard).

It was around $31,000. His is the R/T version. They can get up to $40,000 if they are fully decked out with a lot of options. I believe the 6-speed manual is the same one they put on the Viper.

Re: My brother's new car.

an SRT8 Charger couldn't pass me little 4-cylinder in the tunnels not too long ago on the way to work at full throttle.

those things are heavy turds.

I'm not a fan of the Charger at all either. It's just ugly, and I always like a coupe much better than a sedan.

By the way Challenger SRT8 will make the 0-to-60-mph run in less than 5.0 seconds depite being a heavy car. That's a pretty good in my opinion.

(That being said I still like the styling of the SVX better)

while i like it better than the Charger, the Challenger just looks strange to me below the grille/headlights - as if the designer just quit. even the rear lower portion looks unfinished.

just my opinion - what really matters is your brother's, and it sounds like he's enjoying his new ride.
