I am upset by the forum's changes to its signature policy. I find it inexcusable to have unreasonable signature limitations on donating and contributing members.

In other forums I'm on, you get either an image or words, but not both. Also, the image is a limited size. For example, the avatars were 80x80 and sig pictures were 375x80. (Data size was limited as well for lower bandwidth users)

Now, I agree with monstrous signatures being cut. However, I think we can find a happy medium where images can also be allowed, but their sizes can be limited.

Image sizes can already be limited. What I would really like to do is what you suggest, image or text, not both. But our current configuration does not allow this.

I have to say also though that I agree with both these sentiments.

For a totally free forum, I understand and agree with the desire to limit signature sizes. However, for forums that allow contributions, I feel like the signature restrictions should be generous - especially for those members who contribute funds.
