2 Wire speed sensor?

Hi all, I have an SVX with a 5 speed swap. I was told that it has a wrx tranny in it. The speedometer did not work when I bought the car, and so I searched on here and found that 5 speed trannies are cable drivin. So I ordered a 4eat speed sensor and I decided to take a look under the car today and found that it has a 2 prong speed sensor? It has about a 6 inch wire coming off of it with a 2 prong connector on the end. Im fairly sure this is for the speedometer, it is on the passenger side a little bit back from the axle shaft, right? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

That plug sounds like the cruise or reverse connector. The speed sensor is on the passenger side near the front of the tranny.
