still shaken
ok so i have balanced the tire got the alinement done and its still shakin.
i think it may be the ujoint but how do you tell if its bad and how many does it have? can it be fixed or just replace the drive shaft?

It would be best to remove the driveshaft for inspection. All the joints should be smooth. Like I've said before the joints were not designed to be changed but some people have found ways to do so.

Shaking is caused either by:
1- Unbalanced wheel (damaged/bent..) 2- Cracked tyre. 3- Bent flange. Those mentioned above can either be in the front or the back, be sure to check them all. There is no other alternative(s) I can think of. BTW: have you checked your engine's mounts?

well i imgoing to remove the drive shaft as soon as i can get it in the garage when my ****ty ford probe is done with its trans rebuild.
but on a bad note things have got worse for my baby now it shake like a bat out of hell if you go faster then like 5mph so she is undriveable for the time being. IM SO FLIPIN PISSED subaru wants $549 of the drive shaft.

you could get one alot cheaper at a scrap yard.

I don't want to sound like I think you are a #@!!#@, but have you checked the torque on your lug nuts. I know of someone who had a problem of the car shaking and getting worse all of the time. He found that his lug nuts were loose! Just a thought.

is it in the wheel or the seat that can pin point the front or rear. if its in the wheel then its the front and the seat prob is the rear. i had this problem in alaska but it was do to ice in the wheel wells.
