power steering fluid (ATF) everywhere!
Yup, I knew when I turned the wheel lock to lock, backing in my driveway
this AM, that I've been warned against doing so. Sure enough, big puff of smoke, and loss of power steering. After she bled all over the driveway, I backed it in and sure enough a (return?) hose had popped off. It took awhile to see, as it wasn't completely off. It was hard to get at the clamp, and luckily I had a full quart of ATF. Lately it's been one thing after another! |

It usually is the return line when it is a major spill, and the high pressure line when it is a slow leak. At least that is the way mine have been and what others have experienced as well.

I believe you are right. I checked some old posts before I did anything to it, and was hopeful it was just a popped-off hose. It was. Your old post in fact! |
