drivemusicnow,

oops i did get that backwards. I know the 914 car you are talking about it took the guy 17 years to build it he's a helicopter engineer as you can tell by all the extremely meticulous work and aerospace hardware and components incorporated into the car.
i personaly like smooth and quiet performance that thing is just rediculous but in a good way.

Can you do a picture of the two pistons together, I would like to compare
the tops.

I was just doing some surfing and I found these rods, what do you think of them and would they work? He sais he's got 5 sets so maybe two of you can buy three sets.

actually I don't think i will be going the turbo route so much anymore... I am thinking of sticking with a mildly built N/A engine... I am more than likely gonna run double custom cams and in the future maybe build it bored and stroked... As of now it looks like intake/exhaust cams and maybe a nice comfortable 100 shot wet for days at the track...

unfortunatley I would still love to do my twin turbo system but it just doesn't look like I am making the money I expected to thats all... With doing the side jobs that I have planned this spring, I will make enough to build a sweet ass N/A 6mt and probobly run some cold sauce at the track... Expecting about 400 crank on the sauce so it should be fun

Okay, is this where we start the "EG33 Big Block" thread?

Anyone want to do the math if we got our stock crank stroked by a 1/4 inch, use the higher compression turbo pistons with say a .020 overbore (to clean up the bores - assuming we can get the turbo pistons in a .020 oversize), and work over our stock connecting rods (shot peen, mangnaflux, etc.)?

I'm thinking a 3.5-3.6 liter engine with around 9.5:1 compression might be a nice "winter project" (okay, so custom pistons to get the compression back up is probably in the cards..)

Why not bore it enough to use the 2.5L pistons. What's the bore/stroke on the new 2.5L turbo engines?
