A/C Issues

Hey guys, well i just got my 92 retro-fitted with the new a/c stuff (new fluid, fasteners, and some sort of sealant to stop leaks) well it worked well for about a week now the compressor clicks on and off.

Also when i press the auto button you can here/feel the air coming on stronger and then when the compressor clicks on/off it kinda resets and does it all over again, this all happens in a matter of 15 secs.

I am kinda at a loss b/c this was supposedly just fixed a little less than a week ago. Any ideas? Thanks chris

Did they over fill the system?

Check the low side pressure with the engine running at about 2000RPM. The system will shut off if the pressure gets too high or too low.

Ok new developments in my AC issue. I haven't yet brought it midas because i am in viriginia now.

Anyway, i am driving the car today and the ac works. What gives? How could it be bad one day and good the next? I am not complaining, i am just puzzled. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Chris

Chris-

If the system is slightly low or high on refrigerant, this is what would happen. Changes in the engine's temperature, and outside temp can also be taken into consideration.
