Another A/C question

Anyone know if the a/c compressor has a low pressure switch, which keeps it from engaging when the freon is low?

yes, the trinary switch kicks the compressor off with either too much or not enough pressure.

Got it fixed today had to drive to Tampa (about 45 minutes) to pick one up from a dealer.
Had it installed, no leaks, and super cold.
