Torque converter blowing through seals

I have recently had my torque converter rebuilit by a shop, and now that they have it back, and the TC back in the car, it keeps blowing seals everytime they drive it. Runs beautifully, blows a seal. They have now used both the OEM subaru seal, and an aftermarket seal. My car has been in the shop since march, and now i am getting very irritated....could someone suggest what might be causing this. Any help IS VERY APRRECIATED

Sorry to hear that Andrew... I'm not sure, but I'd have them check the line pressure in the tranny to make sure it's at factory spec.

A friend of mine in town blew through 3 Level 10 trannies in his modified '00 SVT Lightning, and when they checked the line pressure, it was 2.5 times higher than spec!

an outside guess might be that they are failing to fill the torque converter with ATF before installing. I have heard of seal failure when this is not done, but don't know first hand if true or how likely.
