VERY Simple Questions About My '92

Hey guys,

I had a couple of basic questions for you all about my '92 LS-L. After the somewhat annoying brake problem I posted about before, this one should be cake.

I just bought the car and do not have an owner's manual for it. So, I was wondering what the following lights / buttons on the car do:

1.) What is the POWER light on the guage cluter signify?
2.) On the left of the steering wheel, there are two switches. One if for the Parking lights, and the one next to it looks like a defrost switch. What is that defrost switch for?
3.) Can someone explain the Windshield Wiper 'select' switch that is located directly under the steering wheel?

I think that's it for now. I know this stuff sounds real basic, but I'd like to know what it means / does.

Thanks!

Dan Taney

The defroster you mentioned is for the heated rear view mirrors

The "winter" wiper switch raises the resting position of the blades for winter time use.

and the power light signifies that the engine/transmission computers have remapped the shift points to at/near redline. alternately, a blinking light on startup means a transmission error code has been set.
