Boardwalk Meet

Im trying to find out if there would be anyone interested in a meet next summer at the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ. If there is enough interest I will do all the leg work and set things up. I know there isnt may people close by(2hrs) so Id try to setup a weekend long event(Starting friday evening ending Sunday morning). I know alot of organizations do stuff in Wildwood. The Firemens convention, the MG Club and the PT Cruiser Club (cant believe they have a club for that thing) resently had a large meets. I could try to get a Hotel deal were everyone stays in the same hotel and they give us a discount, maybe a party Saturday night with a DJ. At night there is a large crowd of Classic cars (and a few ricers) that cruise up and down the streets. The best time would be either early in the season or at the tail end of beach season. Thats when the hotels have the best rates and most availibility. Im thinking late is best, because thats when the other clubs seem to do theirs. I dont know why they do it then, but I imagine they have a reason for it and they've been doing it a while.

That would be awsome. I'v been wanting to go back to again and that would be a great reason. I voted anytime but It might be better to plan it at the end of the season seems the Reading meet is early in the year. I hope this happens and we better be able to have and all SVXer go-cart race.

LOL, Ok I'll try to set that up too. We're at 9 We get over 10 and I'll start researching hotel prices and looking into other entertainment as well. I know someone one the base that has a band. Maybe he'll play cheap for us. I wonder If I should open it up to other Subbies too? What do you think? Might be able to get the Stone Harbor Subaru Dealership involved then.

i got to the fireman's convention every year, they do it the weekend of sept 12th

hrm....how long would it be, and i would have to say one of the best hotels has got to be the Brittany!

2 blocks from the boardwalk mall...so it is about the middle of the action and a lot of the rooms have balconies that face the main strip! and Earnies is right accross the street and they make the best breakfast!

Kelli

if you want anymore "opinions" of mine about wildwood, i go down there a lot

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.
