Re: California members

Hi Everyone, I just purchased a 1997 Brilliant Red SVX LSi a few weeks ago. I live in Venice/Santa Monica. It's my second SVX and my 4th Subaru over the past 11 years.

I had my first SVX (a 1995 Green LSi) in 2000 and never forgot how nice they drive. A bit of a difference compared to the STi that I've been driving for the past 4 years!

It would be nice to organize a meet. There is an early morning meeting every Saturday (early 6:30 to about 9:00!) at the end of the 2 freeway in La Canada. It gets pretty huge and sometimes over 150 cars will show. The cars are pretty special at this meet; Ferrari's, classic Jaguars, vintage hot rods, Shelby Cobra's, GT-350's, etc. There is a small presence of Japanese cars, a nice 240z, Honda NSXs, a GT-R, Datsun 510s... a couple of SVX's would make a good impression... I have never seen one there.

Just a thought!
David

Re: California members

Well, I see that we have some members in So Cal, albeit not so close together. I will reiterate what I have said before. I am in a position to offer an area at the Petersen Museum for a meet, in a photogenic area, with reduced-price admission to the museum, and there is now a Johnny Rocket's restaurant in the Museum. Give me a couple of weeks notice, and I can set it up. The powers that be at the museum would like to see a group of SVXi all together.
