Re: Tough President!

You know the worst part about that?

PETA actually issued a statement after seeing it. Those people need to get off their high horse and find something better to do. lol

Re: Tough President!

Yes, they suggested putting fly live traps around the area so they could be released outside.

Re: Tough President!

It's neat and all... but I hardly consider it news. Perhaps if he were to fix this country, I'll be impressed. Or give up the "cost cutting" by trying to make disabled vets pay for their service connected injuries. I went to fight for hte country, they said if I was broke, they'd take care of me. I was broke, they have done everything in their power to avoid that responsability, and now they're trying to take away the small amount that I'm actually getting? Seriously...

Thank you for your service.

That is not acceptable on their part. It is deplorable. It is inexcusable. Is there a way I can somehow help you, Jay? PM me if there is something I can do for you, as a sign of my gratitude for your service.

However, on a wider scope, our country, which you sacrificed to defend and protect, and all citizens participate in, is being dismantled.

By the end of the WEEK, Card Check could pass the senate, and Cap & Trade could pass the house. Union thuggery, and carbon taxes on energy, respectively.

If those pass congress, the only thing left is nationalized health care, and this country will be irreparably damaged, and past the point of normal recovery.

We are at the brink, folks. and we may be past it VERY soon. Hold your representative government accountable, if there is a shred of reins left for the people to grasp.

Re: Tough President!

Thanks, I appreciate it, but I'm ok, I'm not worried about me. I have alternate healthcare that will take care of me. I've been a bit more fortunate than others.

The problem is, many, many other vets out there do not have alternate healthcare, or have alternate healthcare that will not cover pre-existing conditions, especially something like this, and cannot afford it on their own. So they will either be denied care for service related injuries, or will be granted care on credit which they won't be able to pay for, have hteir credit ruined, and put them even further in the hole.

I received a call from my insurance company a few weeks ago. It turns out the military hospital which gave me treatment for my shoulder tried to bill them for a small fortune, and it was denied. I told them good, do not ever pay the military hospital should they bill them.

Re: Tough President!

Well SilverSpear, here in the US the story was actually played on the news (which in itself is really pathetic).

Personally, I thought it was funny to hear his reaction. However so many people seem to take things out of proportion. I mean really, it's a fly for f**ks sake! It'll be dead 24 hours from then anyway, who cares that it got smacked?

It happened in the middle of an interview from what I recall. The fact that it was in the news for a week means that news agencies should really start focusing on other things, like our 2 war front, why all the republican politicians are cheating on their wives in the past week (lol, not really), or something useful. It's starting to become part news part reality tv.
