WTB: Seatbelt computer

Since it seems like nobody has any manual seat belts, I need a good working seat belt computer from a 92-94.

Re: WTB: Seatbelt computer

What's it look like? Does it say seat belt computer on it? All our spare computers should be easy to go through to see if we have one. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes? You need to leave it disconnected as it'll still retain some juice in it.

Re: WTB: Seatbelt computer

Ben-

When my car is off, the seatbelt computer makes a clicking noise and drains the battery. It is a metal box which is mounted under the parcel shelf. It has a small connector on one end, and a large connector on the other.

Re: WTB: Seatbelt computer

False alarm-

i think the battery drained for another reason (perhaps the extreme cold, and the fact that I haven't started the car in a few weeks). I believe the clicking from the seatbelt computer was BECAUSE of the battery being flat, not the cause. Now that the battery is charged up, the seatbelt computer is operating properly.

That sounds better. My XT had similar issues when I got it, replaced the computer and track a couple of times with junkyard units. It was a battery and reset issue.
