McLaren SLR Replica: Built from scratch

Many of you may have seen this already. It chronicles the complete fabrication of a replica of the McLaren SLR before it went into production. The builder was working only from whatever prototype photos that were available. It was built somewhere in Poland

I have been carefully browsing those pics, I must say i am speechless now!! I adore accurate work, if you look at the edges, especially those close ones of the door trims. Man this is great work, these guys are artists. But the thing they have welders and fiberglass people. plus they have a looooooot of time on their hands to do this work. and guys let me tell you something, nobody can do that accurate work without the help of special equipment and the best materials available. Also guys I think they took molds and brought parts from the original SLR and fabricate what you can see in those pics.

I guess they took accurate molds of the original one, they used that liquid rubber material that once spilled over a hard surface and in contact with air and sun, gets hardened. then they took it off and fabricated the fiberglass parts necessary for the job. now for the car's dimensions, they surely took measures of many cars and found the old 280CE coupe to be the most close, chopped the top and made the same body configuration of the SLR.

everything is doable, you just need a LOT of time, money and will.

In sum, they are artists !!! I ADORE excellent job !!

PS: He should have widened a little bit the hood over the edges, the difference between hood and fender is a little bit ... wide.
