It's an interesting experiment, but Metal Storm's devices have very specific, limited uses. Here's their website:

On their front page they claim to have entered into an agreement with Lockheed Martin to produce an anti-torpedo system. That's a perfect use for it.

Read up on how they fire multiple rounds out of a single barrel with no moving parts. It's interesting, but I imagine that reloading is a delicate procedure.

As a side note, I actually used to work for Lockheed Martin as an illustrator. I did technical illustrations for manuals on, amongst other things, Gattling guns - including the GAU-8 Avenger shown above.

Thanks for the link pockets. Weird. With more htan one round in each barrel, you'd think the last bullet out of the barrel would have hte greatest accuracy, and the first few would be fairly inaccurate. Strange.
