I was getting around .18 reaction times, so I have now tried it again after 2 small bottles of beer (.33l) and I am now averaging around 0.26. Still well within the limit for driving and do not feel any effects at all, but it shows what even a small amount of booze can do.
Anyone able to translate that into extra stopping distances?

Bobing Bobcat after several Crown and Cokes and shots of single malt....okay, so I'm convincied that alcohols does effect one's reactions time....

.08sec. increased response time equals about one little munchkin in a winter coat, walking out from in front of a parked car. At 30mph you'd probably only send the tyke sailing back about 10', rather than completely running her over. Dramatic, isn't it?
