Well, my SVX doesn't have that special roof that opens up, but I can tell you that it is called a sunroof. Moonroofs are made of this nifty transparent substance called glass.

I guess you've tried lubing it??
Other than that I don't know, I can look at mine when I get home to see what is there?? How far back is it first binding up? An actual measurement may help....

Mine has the same problem sometimes, I just push up on the sunroof and it seems to realign itself and close. Hope that helps for anyone else out there . . .

behind the light in the middle of the cabin there is one of those circle plastic things that you pop off and then you can use a hex wrench to manually close it. my trouble was that that wasnt even closing it.

Here's a quicker for getting longer, more consistant life out of your sunroof ....
CLEAN THE TRACKS I use 409, a toothbrush and papertowels. (bet there's a bunch of built up black gunk in those tracks) may have to reposition the sunroof a few times to get the whole track cleaned. RE-LUBE TRACK For optionns: silicone based spray is good, lithium grease, or graphite powder. WD-40 is back because it attracts dirt/dust. The others do so as well, but not nearly so bad. ~Brenda |
