WTB: Koni inserts

Hey there y'all. I'm looking to buy Koni inserts. I'm going to be using them with K&B springs rather than GC springs, so I just need the inserts. Classic car garage isn't going to have any until the end of September or mid October, so I can't just buy from them. Anybody know where I could find some? if not, I guess I'll just have to wait. Thanks!

-Mat

Hey Mat,

Wasn't Porter selling them for a while? Try emailing him.

Just some info

Koni will produce a batch of these inserts in week 39, they only produce these on special order.
Got a extra kit produced for me, while they was doing this batch.
I guess it will not be avaiable for you in US before mid october.

Check with Dayle

Dayle had them in his shop a while ago.
Check with him.

Thanks. I've checked with Dayle, Porter, and a couple of other places. Dayle is out of them right now too. Haven't heard back from anybody else. looks like I'll just have to wait until October. Oh well.

A little hint...EVERYONE gets them from Classic Garage. If they don't have any then no one has any.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a new batch as our cars are not really a high priority for Koni.

I don't doubt they will make more but I wouldn't count on them being ready before at least november.

The only place I can suggest to look for the struts is Subaru of Gwinnett. That's where I got mine from (about a month ago) and they are no longer associated with (Jason) Porter.

Their parts department can be reached at 800-584-8727

Cool Not everyone

"A little hint...EVERYONE gets them from Classic Garage."

If you go to factory, and sweettalk someone, then it suddenly was possible. My first requests was not successful, was turned down with reason it was no inserts for SVX by Koni, because they was not in any of their catalouges. With numbers for the inserts, it was possible.

But i guess i was lucky the had a special order in on these at the same time as i made my request. And i had to put the order through the distrubutor of my country.

New batch in the oven

According to Classic Car Garage...

"Unfortunately, these units are not expected to have completed construction in Holland until the end of September. We anticipate receiving them in mid-October. If you would like, we can contact you in NM when they arrive and you can let us know then, if you still want them. Our apologies for the delay, we never anticipated the demand there would be for this application."

So, it sounds as though they're already under construction. I hope so!!

Thanks for the Subaru parts #. I'll call that and see if they have any.
