security system question

Just purchased a 92 SVX and had an issue with restarting the engine at a gas station. The security system woulden't let it crank. After moving wires around, and slamming the deck lid down it started to get it home. We don't care about having the security system work right now and the car didn't come with an owners manual.
What can we do to disengage the security system from the car (ingition system?)
