SOLD New STD size Aluminum Rod bearings

I have a complete set of 6 made in Japan Clevite Aluminum rod bearings for an EG33 sitting around not being used I'd like to clear off my shelf.

Standard size

These are the made in Japan Aluminum bearings that cost about twice what tri-metal bearings do. These are the bearings all the auto manufacturers have switched to in recent years because they essentially last forever. They are also a much safer bet than tri-metal bearings because they have a much thicker friction/wear surface so they are much less prone to catastrophic failure.

$70

(Revised: sold)

Re: New STD size Aluminum Rod bearings

Michael, is there a less labor intensive method I could swap these bearings in...like dropping the oil pan only giving me access to the rod bolts?

THX

Re: New STD size Aluminum Rod bearings

I didn't hear from the person from here who messaged me on ebay so I relisted them. I'd rather not pay the ebay fees but oh well. I turned it into an auction starting at 99 cents with a buy it now for $70. I believe the way it works, the buy it now option disappears with the first bid.

Re: New STD size Aluminum Rod bearings

I wish I knew whether I needed these or the oversize at this point, I wont be tearing down the engine till spring though.

Re: New STD size Aluminum Rod bearings

if your engine doesn't have a rod knock you need standard size bearings.
if your engine has a rod knock you will need oversize bearings.
