WTB: PWR Radiator
Wanted, in good shape. Offering $500, including shipping. Could give you my good '97 radiator, too, if you take off the cost of shipping it from the $500.

Re: WTB: PWR Radiator

Re: WTB: PWR Radiator
I've been under the impression that it cools better for high speed driving, because of volume and materials. Maybe I'm under the wrong impression but what I'd read about it claimed that it is superior to stock. I want to take my car to a track but want to take care of a few of what I understand to be limitations to its ability to handle a few hours of 90-130 mph driving. Probably don't need it, but that's not the reason for the SVX or I'd be driving a station wagon. Feel free to educate me if I'm under the wrong impression.

Re: WTB: PWR Radiator
Save your money. There's not really any point in getting a PWR if you're not looking to make a lot more power than stock.
There are only 2 advantages if you're not: Aluminum top and bottom tanks instead of plastic, so it will never crack. The plastic ones eventually crack from heat cycling and age. The radiator outlet can be enlarged to counter the problem addressed in the "cooling again and again" thread.

Re: WTB: PWR Radiator
Thanks for the advice. More food for thought.
I hope to be looking to make more power down the road and build the foundation for it now. I suppose it's like the jeep guys who have the lift kits and mudders because of what they hope to be doing with their rigs one day. The offer still stands just because I feel like it'll bring the car closer to the way I want it. I will look into the thread you mentioned for interim improvements. Thank you! |
