Bottom line is that if you stay around 50mm of offset with an 8" wide rim you should be fine.

Re: I'm looking for a set of wheels, any advice?

So you guys agree that if I went with a 17x8 +50mm offset, I should be good? Cause that is what I'll be ordering if so!

Re: I'm looking for a set of wheels, any advice?

What would be the lowest I'd want to go? Would a +40 or 45 be enough if they don't make a +50?

And the lower that number, the closer it is to the center of the vehicle, yes? So if I have to get a lower one I can always just use spacers, correct?

The lower the number, the farther out from center the wheel center moves. I believe that you need a minimum number of 49mm, and that would be close to the fender. 50mm moves inward toward center, and offers 1mm more tire/fender clearance. Stock is around 55mm, more toward center. 40mm will not work, 45mm likely okay with a 225 or 235. If you want 245, that is 5mm more on each side of center, so, you need a larger number offset, 49-50mm to clear. I think LAN calculated 49mm [not absolutely sure] and runs a 255mm. Check his threads for the formula. I've run a conservative tread width for the size, 235/40/18 on 45mm 18x8" wheel. Barely room to slide fingers between rear tire and fender.

I'd agree. I wanted something more performance oriented, so I opted to go with the Prodrives.

I like the TSWs. I think BBS may have some similar offerings.

Re: I'm looking for a set of wheels, any advice?

I really like the Nissan Murano rims that i have on my SVX. I get alot of people telling me how great these rims look on the car. Can usually get a set for under 600 delivered to your door within a week. hope this helps

Re: I'm looking for a set of wheels, any advice?

I have 17x8 Rota Boost wheels, with a 48mm offset. I have run both BFG G-Force KDW2's in 245-40/R17 and Bridgestone RE01-R's in 245-40/R17 with no rubbing. They have been at the track, and on the street, but I have Eibach 285 lb/in springs on the back, so I don't get nearly as much lean as stock.

I do love the BBS LM's and LMR's, but they are simply out of my price range. Very sexy wheels, but as it is $800 for the TSW's is about what my range is. Not that I'd call TSW's a "knock-off" but they are BBS-esque and at a more affordable price. Everyone I know that has had TSW's has been satisfied with them though.

And people, stop recommending other wheels, I know what I want, I'm just curious about fitment!

For reference, here's a comparison of the TSW Snetterton and the BBS LM.

Snetterton:

LM:

So yes, they do look similar, but I almost like the Snetterton better. It looks a bit... "cleaner?"

Not to mention your sweet new swaybar that also eliminates leaning!

Re: I'm looking for a set of wheels, any advice?

I agree 100% about the TSWs being cleaner and I like them much better than the BBSs (at least the ones you posted). Gotta see how they look on the car, but I suspect they'll look great.

I was going to suggest STi BBS wheels but we have already eliminated them. I rather enjoy my 05 ones.

Re: I'm looking for a set of wheels, any advice?

Plus the "cleanability" advantage goes to the TSW. Working at a tire shop as well as owning a detailing business are good ways to know that having to clean wheels with rivets/screws/bolts in them is a pain!

i.e. Another reason I chose the Snetterton over the LM.
