Talking $$$$$$$$$

If only I owned a transmission shop in Jersey.........

ps. At Gresham High school we have had a record year for clutch replacement. We have replaced 6 clutches in the after hours. These are all my students and they all race. This does not speak for the rest of the student body.

Thumbs up

Thats great Kelli, just make sure that it is with reputable company. I have dealt with some companies that will fix ONLY what is wrong. Real life example, customer burns an exhaust valve, insurance company pays for that valve and the labor to do that valve only. To do the job right, all of the valves/ seats will be ground, installed height checked yada yada. Insurance company won't pay for anything but the one valve.

Second example, customer burns up the high and reverse clutchpack in an automatic. Insurance company pays for that repair only NOTHING ELSE. Even though the whole tranny would normally be rebuilt the insurance company won't pay it.

Your policy might be really good. Then again it may not be. Look into it before you do those nuetral drops

By the way, my SVX is faster than yours, but I am not driving across the country to prove it.

It's all the light's fault.

Seriously though: What was the temp and elevation? Elevation plays a giant part in the SVX, or so i've heard.

Did you keep your left foot on the brake and right foot on the gas at the line? Try holding it at around 2000 whille doing that and releasing the brake with the light. Also try to not just mash the gas to the floor when the goes green, go about 30-40% at first then floor it, otherwise it just dumps a lot of air and no fuel into the engine. Raise your tire pressure as high as the label allows, on an AWD car with A/T tire spin shouldn't be much of a concern. Finally, try to reduce your r/t to around .500. There's three stages to a light, off, almost on and on. If it's on before you get going you're too slow.

However, the main thing is that you have fun!
