In the above photo, it looks more emerald, but let me tell you that in person, my Polo Green (517) is much brighter and greener in the sun. See the close up of the headlight protectors in my previous post.

For every chart, there are exceptions! I will just put that there is one odd ball produced in 94 with these options.

I'm guessing that they were special ordered or something. But why would someone want a FWD when they could have AWD?

I have seen John's SVX in person. The color is not as like it shows on the pic above. The color looks like my 92 teal from that pic when I see mine in person.

I have seen both colors and I don't think they are the same. (Emerald and Polo green) See post #16 and it looks like the same color. I wonder what the paint code is.

One more time.

The two colors are not the same. One is 434 and one is 517

When color 434 came out in 1994, it was called Emerald Pearl and stayed that way for the entire model year.

When the 1995 production began, they carried over the same color (434) and the same name (Emerald Pearl). Sometime during the 1995 run, the name was changed to Polo Green Pearl (although the color remained exactly the same when it was introduced in 1994)

So some early production 1995 cars were called Emerald Pearl and some later 1995 cars were Polo Green, but they all were the same color, paint code 434

Beginning in 1996, they introduced a new brighter green (517). They decided to keep the name Polo Green Pearl for this new color and it remained so throughout 1996 and 1997.

1994: Emerald Pearl (434)

1995: Emerald Pearl (434) name changed to Polo Green in late 1995, but still the same color (434)

1996: Polo Green (517) a new brighter green color, but with the same Polo Green name as in late 1995.

1997: Polo Green (517)

Im not saying thats what your car looks like, I was just pointing out the fact that shading and even the camera makes a big difference. I've seen the difference between '95 polo and '96 polo so I know what you mean about looking at the paint codes. I love the '96 polo, the emerald has a nice color but that polo makes me happy

Im pretty sure most LS models came FWD, I have seen a few that are AWD, but mostly I see L models in AWD and LS models in FWD. http://www.cars101.com/subaru_svx.ht...4%20SVX%20Info
Here the '94 Emerald green is listed to be available in LS form with the beige velour cloth interior. So I guess the other color chart is incorrect. It also says the '94 LS wasnt offered with AWD, neither was the '94 L models. The active safety group option wasnt added until '95. So your car seems to be normal.

Dustin

I stand corrected. It is a typo on my chart. If you look at the other chart, it shows beige on the LS Emerald Green. Sorry, it is normal. I will fix the chart.

Nah...I was just going by the chart. I figured it wasn't special. I still love my claret more anyway.

Speaking of Green SVXs...I saw a green SVX in Libertytown Rt.26 (Maryland) today. Anyone here?

I was on Rt. 26 this morning around 11:00am in the vicinity of Unionville and west of New Windsor. It probably wasn't me though, as I didn't go as far west as Libertytown. What time was that?

You would have commented on the BEAUTIFUL Polo Green paint, shimering in the sun, if it was
