GM...last to the party...again

GM is always riding the tail end of the wave. They came out with the HHR long after the PT Cruiser fad cooled. The Camero should be out right around the same time Mustang sales start to slump.

I thought it was the nastiest design from the pictures. But seeing it up close, it's actually not that bad. The taillights look decent, and the headlights have angel eyes (as if that will make it to production ).

That said, it looks a bit too much like a 300C coupe. It needs to get a little lower and a little curvier, like one of the earlier concepts.

BTW, last I heard, it was slated for 2009, not 2007. There's still plenty of time for GM to kill off the design. Again.

That's frickin awesome-looking.

It looks nothing like what a Camaro should look like.

It just needs about 350 horses to back up the looks.

Look at it... It's a mustang in drag.

Oh wait... It always has been.

(j/k... I never liked Ford enough to complement it)

The mustang outsold the Camaro/Firebird and every other muscle car. It just has that market appeal. It appeals to every stereotype essentially. Teenagers, women, older crowd, muscle heads. Theres a Mustang to please most. Even the 210hp base model is pretty quick and looks pretty good. And the Mustang has always had the BIGGEST aftermarket.

Im not a total Ford fan (I love German cars) but I like the Mustang. Not too retro and yet very refined and updated. Sink your foot into that new 4.6. Last time I checked it was 3/10 of a second faster than the Charger R/T and was only 2/10 slower than the new 400hp GTO. And just wait for the Cobra... 465hp 5.4 S/C due in late 06 as a 2007... That puts it over the charger, camaro concept, and the Aussie goat, and right up there in Vette territory.
