I am still trying to decide what to do with my garage floor. The key, as you mentioned, is the surface preparation. Don't do a good job there, and the paint will peel. Also, the epoxy should not be affected by the heat of tires (coming from a long drive in the summer and pulling directly into the garage and parking). I am thinking of tile, but I haven't decided what kind since I want to be able to jack a car up on it. If anyone has any ideas, please post them.

I want black and white checkered tile, white walls and ceiling, and red and blue benches and shelves, and a glass 'outcrop' so the passers by can see the nice finished cars!!

If you put a piece of flat metal under the jack, it won;t kill the tile. My 'working 'garage will be in unfinished concrete, but this is where i will keep the wax and vacume!!
