I wanted to add my two cents to this thread and, conveniently, close it. I hope to represent the other moderators accurately. If they want to add anything, they can.

I would have preferred that we didn't give Rob any lip service at all, but of course he's got to take his rants to ridiculous lengths.

We banned Rob's latest account, BoondockSVX. While he'll tell you that we did it for no good reason, and that he was right, he doesn't get the point. He's banned, and that means permanently. Simply having another account is reason enough to ban that one as well.

It is true that sometimes we temporarily ban people to cool off. Sometimes it's painfully obvious that we can't do that.

I'm not addressing each of his claims about me 'lying.' That would involve dragging everybody through our entire process of trying to deal with Rob, and we keep that stuff as confidential as possible.

Personally, of course I find it offensive that somebody would accuse me of the things he does, but whether or not it hurts my feelings there's little point in addressing any of it. If anybody has concerns about my (or any of the other moderators') ability to moderate these forums, by all means bring it up with us or with the site administrators.

Lastly I'd like to ask people not to make fun of Rob. Just please don't. It doesn't help anybody.
