Car in the shop today...

Dropped off the SVX at Van Bortel, and was again given a
practically new car for a loaner: a Rally Blue (?)
30th Anniv. Edition Legacy. It's a very nice car I must say.
So I get the call this AM, and what I hoped would be a well-visit,
wasn't. One of the axle boots is torn, and it's down a lot of coolant due to a supposed leaking water-pump. They haven't lied to me yet, so, yes, add those two things to the list. And, thanks for asking but you did the timing belt already. Believe it or not I got them to work with me on the price, after I told them how filthy my brand-new loaner was. He apologized again and told me not to bother washing it. I told him it looks like a farmer's car. Geez, at least put some paper floormats in it, and scrape the sticker remnants with a razor blade! Anyway, oil and filter, with wheels rotated, and fixing the dome light....turned into $$$$$$$....
again!

Those kind of surprises are the worst, Tim. Best of luck with it. Better to catch that stuff sooner than later.

Me too! That's why I drive 40 miles one way, to get there.
There are now leaking seals they want to fix too. I reminded them that they had replaced them; so they may get redone for free. In any case they needed to keep my car overnite, probably due to the lack of parts in stock for my car. This is why I get
a loaner! I told them take all the time they want, this Legacy is a pretty decent loaner vehicle.....
