Nice car, but the trim is a bit spartan. Don't you have the leather, electric seats or Momo wheel with stereo controls?

I know that the HUD didn't make it on USDM cars, but I never knew that they had cut back that far.

you guys get stereo controls on the steering wheel???? goddamnit.. if i had an option to get leather seating, even at no added cost, i don't think i'd do it in the rex.. nor would i get electric seats.. i've seen how much weight it adds to an SVX seat!

..but i'd love audio controls on the steering wheel....

So one has to ask, what constitutes a "hell of an engine" in a WRX these days?

SVX + WRX ownership...a strange affliction...

Hmmmm. A car with a crappy engine (for the long term). An interior that is meant to be worn at 100k and best of all a membership to the tool of the month club to go along with it. Can I be the first to say congrats?

Some performance places will do it right there on the spot... Just go out "Shopping" one day and get the ECU reflashed... The wifey will never know, until you put your right foot to the floor and the turbo spools 500-1000rpm quicker

hmm.. i've never met a subaru engine i didn't like. i've heard about some problems with some of the 2.2l motors, and i know jesse (subafreak) hates the EA82T although i beat the TAR out of mine and other than bad exhaust manifold design, i never had a problem with it.

as far as interior goes, that's not why i bought the car. for the money, it's a spectacular of utility, performance, and comfort. and which tools will i be recieving in the mail? i think rob and nikfu would cost too much to ship..

Nice, you got a wagon.

But geez, I haven't even fixed it yet and your already selling it. Why don't you just give it to me in trade for me fixing it?

As for the EA82T you have to come to the car show to watch me blow it up doing the coolest burn out ever.

Wow... really?

The only modern Subaru motor that I've ever known to have reliability problems is the Phase 1 EJ25 (1996-1998/9) 2.5L motor that came in the early Outbacks, the first two years of the Forester, and the 1998 Impreza 2.5RS.

Some of the earlier 2.2L models had some piston slap issues when very cold but it was mostly a noise complaint and not an actual drivability concern.

The WRX interior is consistent with other vehicles in its class, I've never heard of anyone really having a complaint about the interior quality, even as they age. Other than the "mouse fuzz" carpeting, the interior fit and finish on Subarus is actually a cut above most other vehicles in the sport/economy class. It certainly outlasts VW interiors.

As far as "tool of the month", I suppose that's a result of some bad internet experiences? Most of the WRX owners that I know personally (HUNDREDS OF THEM) are very decent people who happen to own Subarus.
