OT: Mazda MP3

Saw a Mazda MP3 yesterday at a new car lot.

Pretty neat car. Like the yellow color too (hehe randy). Factory Kenwood deck, of course plays mp3's and has a built in TV tuner. They are bigger than I thought they'd be

I couldn't buy a car labeled MP3. It seems like it would be to gimmicky to me.
Madza Marketing department - "What's hot on the market today?"
Engineering - "The Internet is really cool."
Marketing - "Yeah, but the driver can't use the Internet."
Engineering-"How about MP3s, they are pretty hot right now, other manufactures are thinking of putting it in their cars."
Marketing- "MP3s! yeah thats it we could call the car the Mazda MP3 to get as many people to buy the car on hype before it becomes a standard. And we'll only put it in this model of or car to generate more interest. Zoom Zoom."

true, I still think it's a sharp looking car. If it has a nice price, I wouldn't mind getting a used one in a couple of years, and have the SVX as a toy!

It is a cool car. I think the Protege station wagon is even better looking. The unfortunate part is that it is only a couple grand short of a WRX. I'd spend the extra money for (lots of) extra horsepower and all wheel drive.

18,500 would buy a sweet '97 SVX -- probably with change left over.

18,500 would be a 50% down payment on a used '93 viper
