HID kit on E-Bay

As I usually browse SVX on E-Bay I noticed someone selling a kit for about £70 has anyone fitted one of these? Over the last few months I've been driving on full beam at night and not get flashed because they are so poor.

Re: HID kit on E-Bay

Seems a bit gimmicky....check out the guys feedback, and at only £70 a pop?, I'd have more faith in spending that on a set of PIAA bulbs

I have 100w bulbs in both dip and beam, works a treat and is a cheap upgrade as long as your lenses are glass, can be bought off ebay

ebay item No.

Re: HID kit on E-Bay

I know shipping one kit to the UK would be quite a bit, but there are the HID kits from ddmtuning.com here in the states that go for $29.95 plus shipping and carry a lifetime warranty on bulbs and ballasts. Perhaps you guys could order a bunch all at once, have them all shipped to one address overseas, and then break them up and ship them out to everyone individually. Just a thought

Re: HID kit on E-Bay

I fitted a pair of ebay HID lamps 2 yrs ago, cost £40 inc delivery from china.
They make a big difference, I would not hesitate to fit a set.

The dip profile is set by a mask between the lamp and the lens, park in front of a wall and look at the pattern its a very well defined pattern.

Re: HID kit on E-Bay

I just checked ebay - in the UK £39 delivered. These look exactly like the H1 set I got from China.

They transform the headlights, bright white light instead of dull yellow !

HID - fitting is simple enough, it took less than an hour to do.

RX7 - hmmm tasty ! I doubt if I will go to Japfest this year, but I will go to Goodwood events.

Are you going to Goodwood this Sunday? I'm going to meet up with some mates from the Lotus Club there but I'm going in my RX7. If you go I'll look out for your SVX
