power loss on decceleration
whenever I rev the motor up in neutral or w/ the clutch in, the engine drops down to around 250rpm (for a second) or will die if a/c is on and I'm turning. I cleaned the TB replaced air and fuel filters and pcv. I really thinks it's a problem with the TPS as my auto trans didn't shift right from second to third. Anyone have any answers?
Thanks, Chris |

ya...
being an DSM owner, im with you. Idle surge (up or down) is usualy cuased by teh coils in the stepper motor(ISC) from loosing their resistanece. Get an ohmmeter and chekc the coils they should all be low and around the same resistance, i dont remember the resistance nor do i know what an svx should be at anymore. pull the plug on the ISC and then compare all the coils by touching the two ends of the ohm meters to the differnt pins.....if you need mroe help pm me, but since you hae a 5 speed SVX im sure your on to what im saying
