svx service or parts manual

I'm looking for copy of a parts or service manual - preferably a copy of something on cd. I saw that someone was selling one here and donating proceeds to this site. I've also seen a svx parts manaul on ebay. Anybody have input on these - good, bad? I'd also like a decent haynes or chiltons for svx, but can't seem to find one.

Thanks

It would be a good idea to bring quite a few of the CDs to Reading. I would buy a couple for some of the members here if you have them.

No such thing as a good Chilton's or Haynes manual for the SVX! Chiltons makes a manual that covers ALL 1987-1995 (or was it 1985-1997?) Subaru models, and you can imagine how good that is (Not!). Haynes doesn't make one at all. Get a CD or a set of factory manuals (expen$ive!)

Thanks, laserx! A truly magnanimous gesture.

I wholeheartedly recommend that everybody who does not have a service manual should download a copy.

Thanks for posting that link. It has a lot of useful info, at first glance enough to perform some more-than-minor repairs.

The index (with links to the individual PDF documents) is also posted here:
seccs.org/tech/manuals/1992_SVX/index.html
At the top of the "index" page (in the zip file) is the comment
Quote:
"This claims to be a copy of the service manual for the 1992 Subaru SVX. Whether or not its really a Subaru service manual I can't say, but at least its fairly complete."
I'm not sure whether Reaper450128 or somebody else wrote that, but this collection of PDF files is apparently from Mitchell, since the "Troubleshooting - Basic Procedures" document includes this near the top:
