what to do with dead alternator?

So I replaced my old alternator with a used one, but now I have a dead alternator sitting around. I dont think I can just throw it out, what should I do with it?

Not exactly knowledgable in rebuilding alternators. Otherwise, its not a bad suggestion.

um

take it to an alternator shop...
they can rebuild it, usually for way less than a new or used one costs, and they can pack extra coils in there to get you more P0waR
