Wrong Vin!!!!

I was reviewing information on my car today and i found that when i purchased the car the wrong vin was written down they wrote JF1GX3534NH106913 and the actual vin is JF1CX3539NH106913. anyone ever hear of this happening? what do I do? Am I screwed out of $6,000.00 or is it something that is easily changed?

So a G instead of a C as well as a 4 instead of a 9.

Both situations can be easily misinterpreted in handwriting. I've seen it many times.

Just go to the place of purchase and have them clear it up for you. It's better they do it so no one can accuse you of trying to alter the information.

Point the blame where blame is due.

James,
Just wondering what you would need this tool for, since your VIN # is CBB-0000001,

(CBB=Card Board Box )

Happened to me before

The state of PA titled my Mercury Merkur as a Mercury Merkel. My wife and I still chuckle about that one when we see a "Merkel" on the road.

Leave my cardboard SVX alone!!! At least I can say, with honesty and conviction, that it has never been driven in rain - for if it had, it would have disintergrated faster than a 4EAT stuck in 1st on a Pikes Peak hillclimb!!
