I guess since Central PA is one of the top markets for Subaru that the buyers here suprisingly have something that is lacking elsewhere... TASTE!!! I'd definately feel differently had the Tribeca come out 6 years ago as a trendsetter. Instead, it came out looking like a bad example of a Murano or Lexus RX 5 years after the basic design was established.

I dont mind the tribeca. i think it served as being the first to have the new front styling... but %&*@ if they didnt screw up the 06 Model Year WRX... wow its ugly

It seems to me that every car that subaru put the boxer 6 in has been a sales failure. I have seen ONE tribeca on the road since they came out. they arent bad looking for what they are.I have also only seen ONE LL Bean outback with the 6 in it. And if I didnt live so dman close to other members, and have one in my driveway, I probly would have never seen an svx. I see like 17892364 wrx's every day, and for some reason I dislike that they are synomous with Subaru.

Well as for the Boxer 4.. They sound like theyre missing on a cylinder and with a performance exhaust they sound like my dads john deere tractor... why turbo a little 4 when you can have the brute of a 6. So much smoother than the Boxer 4 and the 90* V's
Not to mention that if you look around online and do a search you will find that there have been boxer 2,4,6,8,12's and even a 16 cylinder.

I see alot of tribecas. I really dont think that they were a sales failure either, i definilty think subaru was expecting to sell more, but i think there at about 50% if not more of what subaru thought they were going to produce.

The XT6 wasn't a failure in the least. About 40k produced over 3 years (no 90s) and that was at the end of the line for the body style with a wopping price tag of $17800 for a fwder in 1988.
