Re: 92 Claret LSL (formerly Mike621's)
I am considering parting this car out if it doesnt sell. I need $$$$$$$asap to fix my 97 ebony. I would sell body and interior parts first, then maybe someone could buy the drivetrain.

Re: 92 Claret LSL (formerly Mike621's)
With what you been through with this car, I would want to part it out just for spite...
Has this car been taken to a mechanic or a stealership to find out whats wrong with it, or do you just don't care to make it run? BTW, I hate the claret color so I have no interest in it... I do wish my 92 ebony had a tan interior..... |

Re: 92 Claret LSL (formerly Mike621's)
The New Owner is from Hopewell, NJ and his name is Lee Benson. He has never owned a subaru before, let alone an svx, but has always wanted one. He came up last Friday and he and I and my mechanic spent the whole day trying to get the car driving, but to no avail. We changed the intake plenum gaskets and tightened all the bolts like they should and the car starts and idles nicely, and then blows the fuse after awhile. ONe thing we noticed was that the fuel pump relay in the rear deck package tray gets so Hot that you cant even touch it. We removed the relay and resistor and plugged them into my ebony and it did not affect it, so there isnt anything wrong there. We started to remove the new fuel pump that Mike installed the day before I took delivery of the car, but we had to wrap things up as it was getting late. He would have given me what I paid for it, if we got it driving, but there are too many quirks between the electrical problem and the clutch to pay the full price. I had to cut my losses and move on. Hard lesson learned for sure. Dont trust anyones word! He spoke to a subaru mechanic in Philly and was told that the timing may have jumped a tooth as to why the car abruptly dies when engaging the clutch. Anyway, he is coming up to get the car and trailer it home on Monday or Tuesday of next week, so it wont be my problem anymore. Good Riddance!
