check my locker in case you haven't seen my car lately
No I have not seen your car lately. The SVX logo is not my style. I am with Rob on that one. Stars though? No one will know what they are without the oval. That's what I want.

I loved the ticket you have Lwin! Months ago I printed up a couple sheets of them (got them from your locker) and cut them up all nice. I have a large stash of them in the passenger seat drawer of my SVX

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Other subie owners, maybe, but, I don't think the average person knows what the logo is, and, without the oval, it would be even more obsscure, in my opinion.

Better yet, ask svxcess what kind of film he used for his "all wheel drive" decals. It's opaque and almost looks like etched glass.

The current Subaru logos are all available from http://logos.subaru.com and can be resized to whatever dimensions required by any sign shop.

Stars

On the stars recognition. My company was recently renamed and rebadged. Our logo, two stars, reminded MANY of my co-workers of the Subaru logo.

Never underestimate the power of a logo....

I never underestimate the power of a logo. I've been in the Ad business for . . . counting my radio career . . . thirty years. I'm sure the power of the "stars" logo is more popular in your neck of the woods. Try it, say, in Mississippi . . . you might not have the same reaction.

Like maybe a limo tint with the stars on the back and SVX across where a visor strip would be on the front.

SVX commuter wanted to know how subaru came up with the stars for their badge. It isn't that subaru came up with it at all. Fuji Heavy Industries ( a japanese airplane and heavy equipment manufacturer.) used ( SUBARU ) the japanese word for the star constellation called Pleiades, or the seven sisters, hence the number of stars in the oval.It can be seen in the winter sky above and to the right of Orion. some have called them starship subarus
