It's OK, Randy, you're normal after all. It's the yellow REFLECTOR that everyone wants to eliminate by spending megabucks on this obviously "ricey" change out. Good thing you & I still have impeccable tastes.

Ron.

If someone sends me their signals and $50, i'll break the yellow part out with a screw driver.

Breaking it looks bad. Just paint it white and clear coat it.

Have to agree with ron. $140 or $240 is a lot of money for cosmetic modifications. I also agree if the JDM lights were yellow and ours were clear the same suspects would want yellow ones!

Ihave to check mine and see if they are JDM ones or not, although I doubt it since my aunt owned it from new.

If JDM was yellow...

yeah, then some of us may want the yellow just for something different. I just think those look much "cleaner."

Why do we have to be suspects? I thought I was careful enough not to leave any evidence behind or suspcion of invovlement... OH CRAP... uhh... nevermind... I didn't say anything...

Ron.

There are two statements in there that I am rarely accused of. And one of them is not "spending megabucks".

Ron, thanks for clearing it up (did I say clearing?)

Re: JDM Turn Signals

I think we need a defination of the word rice again. Rice to me is putting on something and showing off without the proper means to back up your display. ie. STi badge on a SVX would be rice since SVX was never a STi car. Putting a z28 or SS badge on a stock 6 cylc camaro would be considered (domanstic) rice. Same with the huge mufflers on a 4 banger that sounds like a weed eater and type-R badges on a non type-R Hondas.

I personally do not consider turn signals rice. I even have repeater on the front 1/4 panel.

Any other inputs?

rice Pronunciation Key (r s)
n.
1. A cereal grass (Oryza sativa) that is cultivated extensively in warm climates for its edible grain.
2. The starchy grain of this plant, used as a staple food throughout the world.
3. The effect of turning a turn signal lens from yellow reflective to completely clear on a Subaru SVX; primarily used regarding individuals who have owned multiple SVX’s.

I like the orange/yellow lense on a black car. Gives it a more badass look somehow.

I would not drop $200 two get a turn signal that does not have a little yellow refletor on it.
I can see if the ones and your car need to be replaced and you opt for the JDM ones but i can't see spending that kine of money to remove a little yellow.

if a group buy could get the pice under $100 with Shipping i mite think about ordering some just to be different from the 5 other SVX that are in CT if i ever see them.
