Yes it was, but not as much as in the picture. I opened it a bit further to inspect all the wiring. Years ago the car was in an accident with a deer. I'm guessing this is leftover damage that the body shop missed and it corroded over the years. The wires really were barely nicked but it looked like it had corroded over a long period of time.
