Kelli,

We were up in Flemington Subaru yesterday afternoon.
The 96 Polo Green SVX LSi there is a one owner car with 46k miles on it. This SVX is in good shape. It has a droopy driver's side sun visor and the wheels need refinishing.
It also has something that I have never seen on another SVX. It has black wide rubber bumpers running down each side of the car. These bumpers are about an inch high and are chamfered on the top and bottom edges to simulate a 'half-round'. I thought that the look was "fair" . The other SVXer and the Beautiful Naviguesser did not like the rubber strip. The good thing about it is "ding elimination."

I did find out some rather arcane info while I was waiting at the dealership.
Subaru has 4 different silver paints. They have one for the Forester, two for the Outback, and one for the BAJA. I like the BAJA silver the best. Now to convince SIA to reprogram their paint sprayers to paint a new Outback VDC in Baja silver.

u might be a svxer if.....

You look like a professional mechanic to your neighbors because they see you're always around your car, open the hood and check things every weekend.

You drive with only one eye looking ahead and the other one checking the temp. gauge.

You asked your friend or your relative to drive the car so that you can see how it looks like on the road.

You tried to count the gear shift when driving to make sure the tranny is still able to make to 4th.

...

I've done that. But that was easier when I had 2 SVXes.

You know you're an SVXer if you introduce a fellow SVXer to the joys of good deli. Plus you explain the differences between done, 3/4 done, and 1/2 done sour dill pickles. The "Snap" is very important in pickles.

Kelli: Go to the New New York Deli on US 1 in Princeton. Order the #10 triple decker. Tell the waiter to toast the rye bread and add lettuce, tomato & onion.

there certainly isn't one in Guernsey, and I am blowed if I am going to take a £250 flight for one battery. I have tried the internet firms in the UK but haven't managed to find one which sells this size.

HELP

The sandwich is $12.95. When the sandwich arrives, you'll know why they use 8" toothpicks to hold it together... The damn thing must have its own zip code!

I guess I didn't check to see what side of the pond you were on. Sorry. I too would be happy to get you a battery if you need one. Get me an address and I will send you one. Good luck.

Actually I do it whenever I have a chance ( cannot count ), but I thought I do that just because I 'm a new SVX's owner . Don't know that you (and maybe the others ) do too.

And every weekend instead of relaxing, or shopping for some needs we spend all that days nosing at the car or just shopping around some autoparts, supertrak, trakauto, or pep boys... that is too much to other car's owners, I guess

Well, this experience I think I can only share with someone who has his/her SVX's radiator cracked . My heart pumped hardly when I saw the temp. reaching the RED zone... This car is like Viagra. It is not recommended for people with a heart disease. But it is fun to have one, anyway.

You might have a Subaruski SVX if

You don't even follow up with the regularlly scheduled tranny fluid maintanance, you just replace the whole thing.

. . . if you cannot enjoy watching a movie, or anything on TV any more, because you're watching the background for SVXes parked along the road . . . in parking lots . . . driving by . . .
