WTB Rebuildable PS Pump, Factory Airbox

I'd like to pick up a factory airbox as I'm not pleased with the current arrangement with a cone filter and nothing to keep the MAF from bouncing arround.

I'd also like to pick up a rebuildable power steering pump, so I can work on it while one is still functional in the car.

Any help is most appreciated!
Brian

My Claret has a hacked on cone filter and you must admit it does sound good under full throttle. I picked up a full airbox, intake etc. at a junk yard to install because I don't like the looks of it either.

It does, but the exhaust is obscenely loud and covers it up- I'm just worried about damaging the MAF with it flopping around all over the place.

I've got a stock airbox. $40 shipped. Need the resonator (inside the fender) part too? Check if it's there, my white car had a cone filter and still had the resonator anyway.

I do not believe I have the resonator, and it's with the mechanic so I can't check. If you can throw that in the box too, all well and good . Can you email/PM me your PayPal address?

Thanks!

Re: WTB Rebuildable PS Pump, Factory Airbox

Curious why your maf is bouncing around? I replaced my stock air box and tube, I cut off the accordian section and replaced it with that specter 3 inch tubing you find in all the auto parts stores.
I just completed it into a CAI but before the filter was in the space behind the ABS pump and the maf was right next to it, none of it would bounce around.

By the way disregard that dirty intake manifold, I changed spark plugs yesterday and had my filthy hands all over leaning down getting those changed.

The cone filter end can flop around if the bendy part of the stock intake tube isn't removed and the cone isn't pressed up against the hole in the fender wall.

Ah yes, that is why I cut the accordian piece out.

Re: WTB Rebuildable PS Pump, Factory Airbox

The previous owner just glued an adapter to the MAF housing and jammed a cone filter on. The filter just hangs out behind the ABS pump, flopping around- the accordion part of the intake is still there.

I just realized I posted this in FS and not WTB- if someone wants to move it, please by all means do.

Re: WTB Rebuildable PS Pump, Factory Airbox

I've got one. I'll be able to go and get it this weekend as it's on the SVX I just picked up that doesn't run. I have no clue on the condition of the pump and was just going to put a known good pump on. $30+shipping sound fair?

As long as it still turns, it's probably still good enough- let me know

Thanks!

N/U, If you still need a p/s pump, I have one laying around. Do you need the whole thing? I'm still on the fence as to whether I still need the reservoir or not.
