He would get 5-6 initially but would continue to bring more over as demand required. With a product like this that has already been developed and a price point set you are not going to be able to drive the price down with a "group buy". The only thing you might get is a better shipping deal. As a business (and a friend who is fluent in Polish) he will be able to get a better deal than a list of people from this forum. Plus, as we all have seen, group buys in the SVX world generally end in failure anyway...

And for how much will he be selling them in the US?

Re: SVX poly suspension bushes

He would need to see how the numbers work out. If he goes and gets some sets and you feel he is being unreasonable with the resale prices, you still have the option of going straight to the company in Poland. All I am saying is be patient because there could be a better option here than trying to put a list together for a group buy...

I guess the important question is the currently indicated "sale--price markdown" actually that for a limited period of time? If it is a true promotional sale, it is highly unlikely that future prices through a US wholesaler/middleman would result in good prices.

I suspect that anyone that currently has the need and money to buy them might be better off going ahead with the purchase. Of course the critical factor may be the shipping costs to the US.

Just my opinion.

Another obvious factor is that many of us that would ever be in the market for polyurethane bushings already have swaybar bushings from Earthworm or Nevin. So, we would not need the full kit. A middleman could price the kits differently for those and sell the swaybar bushings to customers that only wanted those.

Dammnnn--am I making this complicated.

Re: SVX poly suspension bushes

I am bringing in only 5 sets to start for a few reasons.

1) to start as I don't want to have cash tied up in inventory that will just sit on a shelf if people bail.
2) I don't want to be responsible for getting 50 sets and have the supplier flake out on me. We don't know them so we need to test the waters first. A small purchase is easier to swallow than a big one if they bail.
3) We have no idea of the quality or fitment of these. We need to test first.

Price will be reasonable. Given the small number of cars out there I know I'm not going to make much on these. I need to make something, but I'm sure as hell not going to try and put my kid through college with it.

As for group buy I am not currently interested. Lets see how things go with the supplier and quality first, THEN we'll talk GB. I would require a deposit though as that weeds out the serious people from the ones who are in until it comes to paying for them.

Re: SVX poly suspension bushes

JUST sent payment over for 5 sets of sport stiffness. So far they have been a joy, and very easy to work with (esp. since I speak NO polish).

So now we wait....

At the moment I'm spending my money on an SVX instead of buying a set of oh-so fabulous TiC coilovers for the STi. :-/ It's probably because I *finally* got another DD, and the STi went into semi-retirement -- after a mere 100K miles of daily commuting. Then for some reason I got the SVX bug. Good to see you here!
