Can you adjust caster and camber on a stock SVX?

Can you adjust caster and camber on a stock SVX without doing any modifications? I have my car in the shop as I type this to have the front end aligned, and they are telling me that there is no adjustment on the 1996 SVX for anything other than toe !?!?!?!?!

HELP!

The front camber and front/rear toe are adjustable on stock SVXii. Camber is the top wheel knuckle bolt.

Exsqueeze me.... what and where is the "top wheel knuckle bolt"? Sorry, but I don't have a clue.

Thanks for the reply!

That is the typical spot for most vehicles with this type of suspension set up if the shop you have it at doesn't know this I would strongly suggest going to a different shop. I would be even more worried if you were trying to get the 4 wheel alignment done!

Re: Can you adjust caster and camber on a stock SVX?

Front - one bolt on both side is eccentric, thus providing camber adjustment. Caster is via the upper strut bolts. Toe is via tie rods.

Rear - no camber or caster in in stock config. Toe is adjusted with the lateral links.

You might consider going to another alignment shop

Re: Can you adjust caster and camber on a stock SVX?

Worst part of it all........ it's being done at the Acura dealership where I work

I just gave them the info that you all provided me, and they are going to redo the alignment.

One question though..... on the caster, is it adjustable without drilling or modifying the upper strut bolt holes?

NO drilling is required. The upper holes are elliptical.

True! This said, you can open them up a little to get some additional caster (yes, Racer X does have this mod)
