Do you meed the insulating pad under the hood?

You can get them from your dealer or from 1stsubaruparts

The insulating pad itself is 90815PA000 and goes for $88.00. The 16 clips you need to attach it are 90814PA000 and are $1.80 each.

They tend to dry out and get brittle with age, so finding a good used one may be a little difficult.

John-

I bought one of these about 5 years ago from the dealer, and was told it was the last one in existence. Did they make another run?

I think your dealer was pulling your chain, or they were just looking in the country and more were shipped over. I just talked to our MNSubaru club guys who work at a dealers parts dept. and he said the computer showed 8 currently left in the country. Our price which is usually around the same as the online dealers was just under $100.
