Thanks, it's actually a tircoat metallic called Black Glass Flake which is from a Toyota Trim color I found at work. I personally have never seen it on any toyota and the color decks say it was only in producation for less than 2 years.

The Red Blacktop looks amazing. I think any custom paintjob should have a blacktop... it sets the car off so well.

Nice paint job, but I feel that only pearl whites look good with the black top. Just my opinion. How much do you charge to paint an SVX?

Guess i'll update again. After I got the new wheels installed I ordered the OEM SVX embossed hood protector which will be in tomorrow (yes Subaru still has a couple handfulls left). Hopfully this cuts down the stone chips on the hood,roof, and trunk. And it will cover the F-ing crack in the hood. I'll post pics tomorrow if it's nice out.

Yes the red black is sick, I want to do it to my red 97 that I plan to own. I also always wanted to do a perl white car in the paint known as "070" on toyotas. It is most aptly described as blizzard white, as it is a metallic white that shines like snow. It is absolutely beautiful and would really look good on a car with sexy lines like the SVX, especially with the dark interior.

It's a little gloomy out so they aren't that good of pics. Subaru must have made the hood protectors in a recent second batch because the box mine came in said production date 5/2008 and it was a steal for $50. It's still a little wrinkly from being in the box but a couple of warm days and it will flatten out.
